I bought a set of these two years ago and I like them. Simple to setup and reliable 99.9% of the time. I bought this set for my brother and he likes them as well. My only complaint is that Lorex Technical support "SUCKS!!!" I hope you won't need it, because they are useless.

The app was terrible and not intuitive. Alarm, bandwidth settings we hard to change, and didnt follow common sense. The device worked fine at time, but most of the time it would disconnect, the 720P video was laggy (5 fps at best), and 95% of time the app would stop working because of it. I was using them on WiFi - didnt try them on cable. But the device is nearly useless without a working app. I bit wider view would be fine as well. And option to allow higher bandwidth usage (i reckon it was limited to 2mbps).
Anyway:

Pros:
- cheap
- ez setup

Cons:
- frame rate is dreadful for any high res video (on WiFi)
- app is half baked (constant crashes, ccouldnt connect to camer)

This is certainly what I expected. Being able to see what happens in my house while I am away has given me sort of an ease of mind, not only because of burglars but also because I can see my family while I am away. I haven't tried the Micro SD card feature 'cause right now I don't have a spare one but I am assuming it would be sweet if motion activated recording were to be functional. Will comment on it as soon as I get a couple.
